Oh golly this is a long one. Let’s see… when I was younger, I would write seriously old fan-fictions with my co-creator of the comic. We wrote an entire novel based on DBZ. Sky Avenue was really a joke in the beginning; I never thought it would go as far as it did. I did it as a… relaxing comic while I was in college. And a way to test out different mediums, body positions, etc. while I drew my serious comic. Anyway, the actual plot came from tidbits of these stories we wrote. Along the way, we’ve added and changed the plot around to suit the comic so it’s no longer like our stories but has grown into its own entity. That’s the long and the short of it really. I know there’s more I’m probably missing but that’s the best answer I can give!
